Kanfanar - A Century-Old Stone House in the Center of the Village
Kanfanar is a municipality in Istria known for preserving tradition, and this house is a perfect example of that. Built in 1904, it served as an inn and once housed a blacksmith's workshop in the garage.
The house is situated on a plot of 880m², with a living area spread over two apartments and auxiliary rooms, totaling 260m². On the ground floor, there is an apartment with an entrance hall, hallway, living room, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. The upper floor features another apartment with a living room, kitchen, dining room, four bedrooms, and a bathroom.
The house also has a basement carved into the rocks, which adds a special atmosphere and is ideal for a wine cellar or something similar. From the basement, you can access the garage, which comfortably accommodates one car. Heating is provided by a central pellet stove and five air conditioning units. Additionally, there is a wood stove on the upper floor.
The courtyard is landscaped and fenced, and many elements from the original 1904 construction have been retained. Besides the garage, there is outdoor parking for up to two cars.
Don't miss the opportunity to secure a piece of history in this beautiful Istrian town! The house requires some imagination and renovation, but that’s okay to make it your perfect property where you’ll create lasting memories!
